Surface treatment of cold drawn high-precision seamless steel pipe

Cold drawn high-precision seamless steel pipes have strict requirements for surface treatment. Common processing methods include mechanical cleaning, chemical cleaning, and electrolytic cleaning.

Mechanical cleaning mainly relies on physical methods such as brushing and polishing to remove impurities and dirt from the surface. Chemical cleaning uses chemical substances such as acids, alkalis, or solvents to remove stains and rust through chemical reactions. Electrolytic cleaning is the process of removing stains by reacting ions in the electrolyte with the metal surface through an electrolytic reaction.

After surface treatment, acid washing and passivation treatment are usually required. The purpose of acid washing is to remove surface rust and oxide scale, and improve surface cleanliness. Passivation treatment is to form a dense oxide film on the metal surface, enhancing the corrosion resistance of the product.

These processing steps not only improve the aesthetics of the steel pipe, but also extend its service life, ensuring its stability and reliability in various environments.
