Measures to improve the accuracy of steel tube wall thickness

The control of steel tube wall thickness is a difficult point in steel tube production. Huagang Industrial's measures to improve the accuracy of wall thickness in production mainly include the following aspects:
1. Heating of tube blank
Heating should be uniform and rapid temperature changes are prohibited. Each temperature rise and fall should be kept steady and slow, with a maximum rise and fall temperature not exceeding 30℃.
2. Positioning roller
Confirm whether the centre roller is installed correctly, adjust the centre, opening angle, and opening size of the relevant core shaft clamping roller to be consistent, and ensure that the centre of the core shaft clamping roller is on the rolling line.
3. Rolling centreline
Ensure that the centreline of the perforating machine is aligned with the centreline of the perforating trolley, avoiding "upward rolling" or "downward rolling", in order to maintain uniform force on the tube blank during the perforation process.
4. Rolling tools
For worn rolling tools such as sharp corners, guide wheels, and rollers, they should be replaced in a timely manner.
5. Installation of Rolling Tools
The center of the roller distance and guide distance must be on the rolling line. Ensure that the centerline of the guide distance and the roller distance is located on the centerline of the punching and rolling process, that is, the distance between the upper and lower rollers is equal, and the distance between the left and right guide distances is equal.
6. Production equipment
Using CNC cold drawing machine, real-time monitoring of cold drawing force, speed and other parameters.
7. Heat treatment and stress relief
Annealing is carried out in a multi pass cold drawing room to eliminate work hardening and avoid uneven deformation in the future. Stabilise the finished product size through low-temperature annealing or normalising to reduce wall thickness changes caused by residual stress.
8. Quality Management and Testing
Each steel tube undergoes turbine inspection, and each batch undergoes ultrasonic wave inspection to check the uniformity of wall thickness. Record process parameters and wall thickness data, establish a model to optimise the production process.
